															3. Do I have to pay for a landscape design or rendering when planning a large installation?
No — while it’s not required, having a design or rendering helps make the installation process smoother by showing you exactly what to expect. In addition, design and rendering fees are waived upon acceptance of large projects.
4. What types of landscaping do you offer?
We serve a wide range of residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
Our products and services include: landscape designs and renderings, installations, ongoing maintenance, plantings, retaining walls, pavers, patios, decks, firepits, pools, steps, rain gardens, rooftop gardens, living walls, fences, living murals, and much more.

															5. Does Urban Plantscapes service properties in the suburbs?
Yes! We proudly service urban, suburban, and rural properties. While we work in a variety of locations, most of our ongoing accounts are within about one hour of a downtown metro area. This allows us to provide timely service, maintain consistent quality, and deliver the level of care our clients expect—whether you’re in the heart of the city or a quiet suburban neighborhood.
6. Do you offer a weekly lawn mowing service?
No, we do not provide weekly lawn mowing during the season. Most of our clients use a separate lawn company for weekly or biweekly mowing. Our outdoor landscape maintenance program is designed for 6–12 visits per season, but lawn mowing can be added to those visits for an additional fee. We also offer lawn leveling, overseeding, and lawn repair services to keep your grass healthy and beautiful.

															7. Do I have to sign a yearly contract for landscape maintenance?
No, a yearly landscape maintenance contract is not required. Some of our clients prefer to begin with one or two single cleanups, then transition to a yearly or even two-year contract once they see the results. Signing a contract does offer advantages—such as locking in your price for the full term and ensuring your property stays in top shape without the need to schedule each visit.
8. We really like the quality of your work, but we live outside of Toronto, Pittsburgh, Miami, NYC, and DC. Can we still work with you?
Absolutely! We offer landscape design, consultations, and installations to clients worldwide. Services can be provided virtually or in person with a bit of advance planning. No matter where you are, we can help bring your vision to life.

															10. What is the difference between hardscaping and softscaping?
Hardscaping includes the non-living elements of a landscape, like patios, retaining walls, pavers, and decks. Softscaping covers the living elements—plants, trees, sod, and flowers. Most great landscapes use a mix of both for beauty and function.Posted July 2019
