In March 2003, exactly 10 years ago, we started Urban Plantscapes. Most people thought we were crazy to start a landscaping company servicing New York City. However, within those 10 years, Urban Plantscapes was featured on HGTV twice, The Today Show, NBC Open House NYC, LXTV, CBS 2, ABC 7, MTV, VH1, MSNBC and Fox News (not to brag)! Our work has been seen in The Guggenheim Museum, the Park Ave Malls between 86th-96th Street, the Mercedes Fashion Show, Design on a Dime (2007, 08, 09), Wall Street Journal (WSJ.com), Forbes.com, Entrepreneur.com, Hearth & Home, The Daily News and Country Living. We have been fortunate to form partnerships with Starbucks, Housing Works, Sears, Jaclyn Smith/Kmart and Cornell University. We were the first landscaping company in New York City’s history to maintain 1 mile organically, without the use of any chemicals! In 2008, 09, 10, 11 and 12 we planted over 100,000 tulips which have been seen by over 100 million people. We did all of this while being 100% GREEN!
We have grown our client base while growing our compost piles.
Creating beautiful interior and exterior landscapes while keeping the environment our #1 priority has always been our motto And we now offer our landscape design services to every major metro area on the East Coast!
Simply put, we have achieved all of the goals we’ve set for Urban. Now, 10 years older and wiser, we have grown as a company and will only increase our commitment to maintaining the environment by increasing our knowledge and use green and organic practices!
Stay tuned for our #living wall advancements, #greenroofs, #urbanfarming, @livingairfiltration, and #compostsystems.
Thank you to every single client and fan of our work, and thank you for supporting the Green movement!
