Since Urban Plantscapes was established in 2003, we vowed to be Organic. Breathe easy knowing that we do not use any chemicals, pesticides or inorganic fertilizers during our installations and maintenance. (Basically if it’s not natural, we are not using it) We realize that selling Eco-friendly products is not enough, we are always looking for new ways to become greener, through recycling endeavors, reducing and reusing products whenever possible,alternative energy sources and supporting companies that have demonstrated a commitment to protecting our planet. In 2009, we partnered with Starbucks on select locations in Manhattan, recycling their roasted coffee beans as fertilizer for Park Ave on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Good bugs eat bad bugs, and we introduce beneficial insects into our greenhouses on a regular basis. By using a pests natural enemies we are able to keep crop pests under control and eliminate the use of chemicals.
